Buying a new car is always exciting at first, but it can take a little while before you realize your ride is more lemon than luxury. Consumer Reports surveyed owners of recently-purchased cars to see which models caused the most buyer’s remorse.

AppDynamics has  revealed its filing for a U.S. IPO.  The IT company, which helps businesses like Salesforce and IBM with applications management, is targeting a $100 million offering. Despite a competitive landscape, which includes New Relic and Dynatrace, AppDynamics has shown strong revenue growth over the past year. For the nine months ending in October, revenue came in $158.4 million, compared to $102.8 million in same period during the year prior, driven by strong growth in subscriptions.

Earlier this month, Amazon celebrated the  first successful drone delivery  made by its  Prime Air  service.  But that's just the beginning of Amazon's aerial assault into our homes, if a recently unearthed  patent filing  is to be believed. Android: When you  install a custom ROM on your phone , it probably doesn’t come with Google’s suite of apps. OpenGApps helps make it easier to get all the apps you need quickly. The Open GApps project has existed for a while, but you  had to download it directly from its site . Now, the project has its own app on the Play Store. Simply install it on your phone and select “Install” from the slide out menu. The app will then help you pick the Google apps package you need. It will detect which version of Android you’re running, which architecture the apps need to be built for, and more. This makes it super easy to get the right package every time.

The mad roboticists at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne have produced another biomimetic mechanoid — this one based on the lithe locomotion of the salamander. “Pleurobot” imitates the amphibian’s ambulation with its own articulated vertebrae, allowing it to slither along on land or at sea. “Animal locomotion is a very interesting interplay between the body, the spinal cord, and the environment,” explained the leader of the project, Auke Ijspeert, in a video from EPFL.

A family in Fresno, California is currently suffering through the biggest nightmare any new parent could imagine after their pet dogs accidentally killed their newborn daughter. According to police, the 3-day-old infant named  Susie Kirby  was left alone on the couch for mere seconds on Monday afternoon when the family's two shar pei/pit bull mixes entered the living room and proceeded to kill her.
